India’s total coronavirus tally has exceeded 58 lakh

India’s total coronavirus tally has exceeded 58 lakh as the country continues to record the highest rise in daily cases in the world. The death toll in the country also crossed the 90,000-mark this week as the country continues to report over 1,000 single day deaths. Though the number of deaths appears to be small in comparison to the number of cases, India’s per day deaths is one of the highest in the world. On the brighter side, active cases in India are falling rapidly and the number of daily recoveries has exceeded the number of cases that are being registered, indicating that the country’s recovery rate is rising rapidly. India’s fatality rate is also one of the lowest in the world, the health ministry said earlier.
