Seven officers in LA removed from field duties over excessive use of force during protests

At least seven Los Angeles police officers were removed from their field duties after using excessive force during recent protests, the police department told CNN. The move comes as police across the United States have come under attack for use of violence in response to demonstrators protesting police brutality.

Critics have pointed to the use of tear gas, rubber bullets, and physical attacks as examples of excessive use of force.
