Coronavirus toll almost 3.6 lakh across world, over 4,500 dead in India

The coronavirus death toll has almost touched 3.6 lakh globally while the total confirmed Covid cases has crossed 58 lakh. In India, the coronavirus cases crossed 1.58 lakh while the death toll has gone past 4,500. Maharashtra continues to be the most-affected state with a total of nearly 60,000 coronavirus cases. A total of 1,982 people have died in Maharashtra of Covid. India is currently in Lockdown 4.0 with only two days left for the fourth phase to end on May 31. Reports have suggested Prime Minister Narendra Modi might announced Lockdown 5.0 on May 31 in his monthly radio address Mann Ki Baat. The government has eased some of the restrictions in Lockdown 4.0 and resumed flight movement across the country. While several states raised concerns of the coronavirus spreading further with flight operations resuming, many cases of passengers being infected with coronavirus have been reported from different states.
