25 districts accross states report no new cases of coronavirus in 14 days

Nationwide lockdown may have been harsh on the economy, but it has served its purpose of controlling the spread of novel coronavirus. The impact of lockdown is evident from the fact that at least 25 districts across 15 states, which had earlier reported Covid-19 cases had no new cases in the last two weeks.

Union health ministry's senior official on Monday told media that the restrictions imposed on the movement of people during the last 20 days have helped curb the spread of the virus, which is known to transmit via direct contact with an infected person.
